About
Giving and Receiving Feedback is a practical online course to help you give clear, respectful feedback and respond thoughtfully when feedback comes your way—whether preparing for work, returning to work, changing careers or developing existing skills. Learn how to recognise useful contributions, address concerns and turn feedback into agreed actions. Throughout the course, you will learn to: • Make feedback specific, timely, fair and constructive. • Use the Situation–Behaviour–Impact (SBI) model to explain what happened and why it matters. • Choose an appropriate time and setting for a feedback conversation. • Describe observable behaviour without judging personality or assuming intentions. • Listen, ask clarifying questions and consider feedback before deciding how to respond. • Question inaccurate feedback respectfully and set boundaries around personal comments. • Agree on practical next steps, support and follow-up. Interactive activities and realistic workplace scenarios let you explore different responses and see how your choices affect a conversation. You will also create a personal action plan with one change to how you give feedback and one to how you receive it. The course includes optional audio narration throughout the lessons, an eight-question final assessment and a course summary. Complete it at your own pace and apply the skills in your next suitable workplace conversation. No previous training is required.
